HYDRAULIC ENGINEERING STRUCTURES
GEO2 Engineering B.V. designs and advises in the area of hydraulic engineering. This encompasses the geotechnical design of structures such as quay walls, mooring facilities and (shipping) locks. In accordance with national and international standards (CUR Handbook Quay Walls, PIANC* Guidelines, RWS** Design of Navigation Locks, CUR166, TAW*** etc., a practical design is realised, bearing in mind its feasibility.
GEO2 is also experienced in the design of ‘softer’ structures such as water-retaining structures (dikes and dams) and erosion protection. In accordance with the most up-to-date thinking, geotechnical designs are made with a view to innovative and appealing solutions in traditional dike construction.
