Rianne graduated from the Technical University of Delft with a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, specialising in Geotechnics. Since graduation, Rianne has been working with great pleasure as a Geotechnical Engineer with GEO2 Engineering B.V.

Rianne is a practice-oriented engineer with a good understanding of the interaction between construction and soil. She is most satisfied when working on projects in close cooperation with the execution team where she’s able to find the optimal solution from an engineering perspective. Hence, Rianne likes to work on projects in the detailed design phase or as a site engineer. Examples of such projects are The Southern Ring Road Project in Groningen and the N31 Project in Harlingen. On both projects Rianne gained extensive design experience on for example designing deep building pits in urban areas.

Currently, Rianne works as a site engineer on De Groene Boog Project in Rotterdam. For this project her work focuses on settlement and stability issues arising during construction as well as the detailed re-design of a new viaduct crossing the existing High Speed Rail. For this High Speed Rail crossing she has a prominent design role which in turn reflects her in-depth knowledge of Plaxis 2D and 3D as well as her substantial experience with various piling techniques in the industry.

Within GEO2 Engineering Rianne is the initiator of the internal Plaxis work group and is involved in the development of several in-house calculation tools. She is also a trusted sparring partner and coach for less experienced colleagues.
