HYDRAULIC-ENGINEERING STRUCTURES

GEO2 Engineering B.V. designs and advises in the area of hydraulic-engineering.

This encompasses the geotechnical design of structures such as quay walls, mooring facilities and (shipping) locks. In accordance with national and international standards (CUR Handbook Quay Walls, PIANC* Guidelines, RWS** Design of Navigation Locks, CUR166, TAW*** etc., a practical design is realised, bearing in mind its feasibility.

GEO2 is also experienced in the design of ‘softer’ structures such as water-retaining structures (dikes and dams) and erosion protection. In accordance with the most up-to-date thinking, geotechnical designs are made with a view to innovative and appealing solutions in traditional dike construction.
