WIND FARM ZONE (DOORDEWIND), NORTH SEA

GEO2 Engineering, on behalf of BLIX Consultancy, is assisting the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) to provide detailed information on the site conditions of the Doordewind WFZ, which can be used for future tendering and development of this area.The Doordewind wind energy area is located between 77 and 102 kilometres off the coast, north of Ameland and on the border of the German part of the North Sea. The planned capacity of the wind farm is 4 gigawatts. The project covers an area of around 400 square kilometres.

The team consists of several experts, including a lead expert to optimise the interface between RVO, specialist experts and future contractors. The team will provide in-depth geophysical, geotechnical, morphodynamic and soil modelling support throughout the various phases of the project.
